Instructions:

Get ready a replacment tile. Make sure it matches the surrounding tiles nicely.

Using a hair dryer, warm the damaged tile that is to be replaced. Set the heat to high.

Using a chisel, chip away the tile while it is still warm. Repeat the process of warming with hairdryer, followed by chisel. To this until all of the damaged tile are removed.

Next, we remove any old hardened adhesives that are still attached to the subfloor that the old damaged tiles was occupying. Make sure that those at the edges are cleanly removed too. We can use the chisel or putty knife to do the job.

Try to fit the new tile into the slot. We may have to use sandpaper to sand down certain parts of the tile's edges. We do so until the tile can be placed flat and nicely onto the subfloor slot on the floor.

Take out the tile. Using an adhesive spreader, apply vinyl adhesive onto the subfloor slot.

Place the new tile onto the subfloor slot. Press it and, using a rolling pin, squeeze out the excessive adhesive.

Wipe away the excessive adhesive using adhesive solvent.

Finally, place a large book over the tile. Next place a bucket of water over the book. This should weight down the tile and prevent it from popping out. Keep the bucket of water and book in this placement for one day to ensure complete hardening of the tile onto the floor.

Well, that all for the tips. Good luck with your repair work.
